A “Mó” ainda hoje presente neste largo na baixa de Portimão, é a herança de um antigo lagar de azeite particular que ali existia – o Lagar do Mariano.

Ponto de passagem onde, em finais do século XIX, se vendiam cântaros de água, este lagar veio a ser desativado na década de 70, tendo a mó sido adquirida pelo Município e colocada no centro do Largo da Mó, alguns anos depois.
