Casa da Isabel - Visit Portimão

Casa da Isabel

Right in the centre of PortimãoCasa da Isabel takes you back in time to the days when you would step into Grandma or Auntie’s house and be welcomed by the smell of freshly-baked cakes and warm, comforting tea.
This tea room and cake shop in Portimão offers the perfect ambience in which to chat between mouthfuls of cake, Swiss roll or puddings. All are made to traditional recipes, which owner Isabel Ramos has unearthed during her in-depth research work.

The décor at Casa da Isabel expresses the heart and soul of the person who embarked upon a project that is surprising due to the variety and quality of the products on offer. The project has greatly helped promote the rich variety of Algarve sweets not only in the region but up and down the country, highlighting the importance of dried fruits and nuts in the economy of the past.
The hardest thing of all is deciding which of the delicious temptations to try. The olive oil biscuits? The Royal Cake from Aljezur? The Algarve Trilogy? Or all three, even?
tea room in the centre of Portimão that sweetens the palate and the spirit.
