Popular Marches “100 years of the City”

This year, the 23rd edition of the Popular Marches evokes the theme of the Centenary of the Elevation of Portimão to City. In all, more than a thousand participants are involved, including marchers, choreographers and costumes who wear the spirit of associativism and give free rein to the imagination and the genuine popular sense under the theme “100 years of the City”, with the music being in charge of the Portimonense Philharmonic Society.

The

Popular Saints festivities are also back at Praça da República, between 7:00 pm and 1:00 am, with the following schedule: June 8 – Portimão Music Academy (7:00 pm) and musician Pedro Miguel (10:00 pm); June 15 – Alentejo Singing Group of the Community Center of Bairro Pontal (7:00 pm) and musical duo Ricardo and Idalécia (10:00 pm); June 22 – Grupo de Cantares Vozes do Glória (7:00 pm) and musician Marcelo Rio (10:00 pm); 28 June – Portimão Choir Group (7:00 pm) and musical duo Nuno and Fernando Mário (10:00 pm).

In addition to the musical entertainment, food and drink stalls will operate on site, in charge of the Portimonense Winning Society, the Clube União Portimonense, the Clube Desportivo e Recreativo da Pedra Mourinha and the Sporting Glória ou Morte Portimonense.
